Nokia 6108
On
the outside, the Nokia 6108 looks rather like a lot
of other Nokia phones - with a stylish design and well
laid-out keypad. However, the Nokia 6108 has rather
a big surprise up its sleve!
Flip open the front, and you'll see that the 6108's
secret - it has a built in handwriting recognition system,
enabling you to make notes in English or Chinese. There's
also a built-in Chinese to English dictionary if you
need it.
However, we think that the Nokia 6108's handwriting
recognition makes it a viable alternative to bulky PDAs.
The system is pen-based and features predictive text
recognition. You can use the keymat for text input too
if you prefer.
The Nokia 6108 has all the other features you'd expect
from this kind of phone, such a tri-band GSM and GPRS
support, web browsing, polyphonic ringtones, Java support
for games and other applications plus the ability to
read and send email messages using the 6108's 128x128
pixel 4,000 colour display.
You might think that all these features would make
the Nokia 6108 a bulky phone, but it's only a little
thicker than a standard handset, measuring 106x46x23mm
and weighing 98 grams. Battery life depends on your
network, but gives between 3 to 7 hours talk time and
up to 17 days standby.
Available to buy from Lime
Mobile and MobileFly.
