Siemens SX1
The
designers at Siemens have certainly come up with something
interesting to look at with the SX1, with a unique styling
that features the number keys arranged on either
side of the handset.
It's not just the Siemens SX1's keypad that's unusual,
there's a large colour screen measuring an
impressive 176x220 pixels (more than twice the
pixels of most of the competition). It also has a built-in
digital camera, FM radio, MP3 player and more squeezed into
it.
The SX1 measures 109x56x19mm and weighs 110
grams. In size and weight terms it's broadly similar
to the Nokia 6600, and indeed it has a similar set of
features too. The SX1 offers up to 4 hours talktime
and 12 days standby.
In network terms, the SX1 offers WAP over GPRS,
tri-band GSM, an XHTML web browser, POP3 email
support, Bluetooth and USB connectivity plus all
the usual things that a phone of this type usually offers.
Internal memory is 24Mb, and the SX1 supports Java
(great for games) and can take video clips with the
built-in camera.
The Siemens SX1 is certainly an impressive phone
in terms of features, and it's clearly pitched up against
the Nokia 6600. Both phones
are excellent models - the one you choose is up to you!
